Bethan joined UES in 2023 as a Trainee Ecologist following a decision to pursue a change of career.
In her current role as Field Ecologist, Bethan assists with ecological surveys including protected species and habitat surveys, and report writing.
Bethan holds a level three field identification skills certificate (FISC) from the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland (BSBI), which certifies her as competent to undertake preliminary ecological appraisals.
Bethan is a qualified NPTC Level 2 tree climber, a Qualifying CIEEM member, and holds a level 1 bat survey licence issued by Natural England. She is currently working towards her level 1 great crested newt survey licence by undertaking surveys at UES and attending external training courses.
