Josh joined UES in 2023 as a Graduate Field Ecologist after graduating from the University of Chetser with a BSc degree in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. During his three years at university, he worked as a subcontractor assisting with bat presence / absence surveys and nesting bird surveys. Additionally, with a keen interest in reptiles and amphibians he volunteered with the University Centre Reaseheath for three years of great crested newt and smooth newt presence / absence surveys.

In his current role at UES, Josh assists with protected species surveys and data analysis. He holds a certificate for emergency first aid in the workplace and is working towards other qualifications such as his level 1 licences for great crested newts and bats.
